      Hi

For an airplane to land the pilot needs to slow the airplane down, let the wheels out of the belly of the airplane and make sure he is lined up with the runway.

When you slow the airplane down it starts to come down out of the sky so the pilot keeps the plane straight and level by pulling the control colum back (imagine you are pulling the steering wheel in your car back towards you) . When you land the airplane you let the back wheels touch the ground first and then you lower the front (nose) wheels.

Why don’t you have a look at some airplanes landing on the internet and you will see it better.
