It can be but I really enjoy the challenge. There is always going to be problems that I don’t know how to solve, but being an engineer means thinking outside the box. You can never not have an answer to a problem, you have to do your best.

I find the job I am in at the moment particularly challenging as I am new to the pharmaceutical industry and I have a lot to learn!

College could be very tough. The work load is massive and there is no way to fudge your way through it – you have to understand the underlying principles or you will never get the answer!

      Hannah,

No I dont think its hard to be an engineer – you grow into it. When you are in college you are learning new skills and working with your class mates. When you go into the work place first I was worried that I wouldnt be able to do the job – but all companies have managers adn procedures and processes to help you. As you become more experieinced then you are able to help others.

Hi Hannah. Hard in a good way, like solving puzzles or playing sport. It’s doing something I enjoy, but trying to it really well and get better at it all the time.
