      Hey Freddo
My family were very supportive of me becoming an engineer. When I was a kid I was always playing with mechano and lego, making and breaking things, so I think they always knew I’d probably become an engineer or scientist! My dad does a type of mechanical engineering, so I think he knew that studying engineering was a great career option, since it makes you good at lots of different things. When you’re trained to be an engineer you can use your skills anywhere in the world, which makes finding a job a bit easier!

My family were delighted and shocked all at the same time. I don’t think they were expecting it!

My father has an engineering background so he knew how valuable an engineering degree would be. You are incredibly employable after qualifying and you can pursue just about anything!
