Like Nathan, I was probably 17/18 when I filled out my CAO form and decided I wanted to do something related to engineering in school. I think even before then, I always knew I work in engineering in some way, because I was always really interested in figuring out how things work and how they could be improved.

      Hi Rhys,

I was about 17. It was only then that I realised I actually quite liked maths! I think it gets a bad reputation in school.

I can’t imagine doing anything else now!

      Hi,

I only decided after I had finished my leaving cert. I am very logical and enjoyed maths but had filled in my CAO forms incorrectly. I got called for an interview for preliminary engineering and got offered a place. I have been so lucky because engineering has been great.
