      Hey Seany
Because engineering is so broad an area, your qualifications aren’t essential to get into it. You can get into engineer from several different degree courses, you could study engineering, chemistry, biology, maths or physics (like me!). I think its probably important that you are comfortable using maths, because a lot of engineering work can involve numbers. Apart from that, if you’re curious and motivated you can become an engineer 🙂

      Hi Seany
The usual route (but not the only one) is to do a B.E. or B.Eng. degree in engineering. You can go from this straight into an engineering job, or follow it up with a Masters and/or PhD which would give you a more advanced base and maybe some specialisation.

      Hi Seany,

It can vary a ot. Most people so a Bachelor’s degree, which takes 4 years to complete in college.

Other people start working as a technician or a trade and then continue their education later in life to become qualified engineers.
